            Welcome to Youth Ballet West

Youth Ballet West (YBW) is a non-profit making organisation offering young dancers in the west of Ireland the opportunity to audition for, and perform in professionally choreographed ballets of the highest standard. 

By providing the opportunity for young dancers to gain performance experience, train with top-class teachers, work with acclaimed choreographers and work closely with professional dancers we aim to lead these young dancers to fully develop their artistic potential.

YBW seeks to introduce ballet to diverse audiences and raise the profile of ballet in the West of Ireland.

Partnership Organisations and Ongoing Collaborations.

YBW is currently working in partnership with Macnas. Over the past few years, it has also collaborated with Baboro, Galway Technology Institute, Cathy Sharp Danse Ensemble, Chrysalis Dance and Corrib Dance Academy. These collaborations focus on the creation of new work for YBW, giving additional performance opportunities and challenging the young dancers with alternative dance styles and venues, while broadening the audience for dance and ballet.
