Clare trained with the Corrib Dance Academy where she completed all her graded exams in Ballet and Modern. She went on to attain Vocational Advanced 1 Certification in both styles. She was also a member of Youth Ballet West for three years where she gained experience in performance.
She attended Inchicore College of Further Education where she completed the Dance Studies course gaining a knowledge of many types of dance and choreography. Clare completed the CBTS programme in 2021 and is a fully registered and qualified RAD ballet teacher.
As well as teaching at Corrib Dance Academy, she teaches in Shannon Dance Academy, Athlone and has assisted with Youth Ballet West shows.
Clare was part of the steering group in the creation of the new Junior Cert Short course in Creative Movement and Dance, and has piloted the course in a local secondary school in Athenry.
She was a committee member of the Irish Ballet Teachers Association.
Clare has been the YBW’s children’s teacher for the company’s Nutcracker productions since 2022.
